Jordan Shepard joined the Western Carolina Athletics staff as an Athletic Academic Advisor in November 2023.
A Georgia native, Shepard came to Cullowhee following an eventful two years as a mathematics & marketing educator at Dacula (Ga.) High, as well as a volleyball coach, associate head track coach, and DECA advisor.
Her professional experience in intercollegiate athletics spans the entirety of her undergraduate career at her alma mater, The University of Georgia. For two years, Shepard served as a gameday ambassador and recruiting intern with the University of Georgia Football Association under the direction of head coach Kirby Smart. From 2019-2020, she also served as a class checker and peer-tutor for football.
Following her time with the football program, she sought to serve in a more hands-on role within a smaller team, going on to serve as the men’s basketball student intern from 2021 to 2022.
Shepard also served as an intern and college ambassador for the Atlanta Falcons (2020-2021), the Atlanta Hawks (2021), Georgia Tech Marketing & Fan Experience (2021-2022), as well as Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Inc. (2021-2022).
Shepard completed her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from The University of Georgia in 2022, graduating cum laude.
