CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Jeff Bolton scored 19 points and Jody Lumpkin added 18 points and 10 rebounds as Charleston beat Western Carolina 67-57 in Southern Conference action Monday.

After the Catamounts (2-16, 0-5 SoCon) took a 9-6 lead, Troy Wheless capped an 18-2 run with a pair of free throws as the Cougars (14-2, 6-0) took their largest lead of the game at 24-11 with 5:01 remaining in the first half.

Kori Hatcher's 3-pointer with 1:12 left in the half capped a 12-5 Western Carolina run cutting the lead to 29-23. Charleston led 31-23 at the half.

In the second half, back-to-back 3-pointers by Casey Rogers cut the Cougar lead to 52-47 with eight minutes remaining.

Corey Largent scored 16 points for the Catamounts while Willie Freeman had 11 and Rans Brempong had 10.
