Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina's (8-3, 3-1) Felicia Wilson scored the game-winning goal in the first 56 seconds of a 4-0 victory over SoCon rival Chattanooga (1-6-1, 1-2) Thursday afternoon.

A break away pass from Lauren Bramlett to Wilson put the Cats ahead of Chattanooga 56 seconds into the game. Under 11 minutes later, Kelly Barker's shot hit the top of the cross bar. Jordan Howell retrieved the deflection and put the ball into the back of the net at the 11:54 mark. Christel Kirkpatrick notched her second goal of the season at the 32:52 mark off a pass from Brandy Ossmann. Bramlett put the game out of reach at 53:07 with her sixth goal of the season. Howell assisted on the play.

Howell tallied eight shots in the game with Bramlett adding six as the Cats outshot the Mocs 26-10. Goalkeepers Mandi Tinsley and Tina Weaver recorded the combined shutout. Tinsley saved three UTC shots in 60:43 minutes, while Weaver added two in 29:17 minutes.

UTC's Lena Thornquist led the Mocs with four shots while Oddbjorg Haugen and Brooke Crandall each added two. Goalkeeper Rawlslyn Ray recorded nine saves.

WCU will host South Carolina State, Saturday, October 6 at 1:00 pm.
