Final Stats

Spartanburg, S.C. - Despite being out-shot 15-7 by Western Carolina, including three shots by Keevy Harris, Wofford scored late and held on for 1-0 home triumph over the Catamounts Sunday afternoon at Snyder Field.

Tallying the lone goal in the game was preseason All-Southern Conference pick Mallory Bramlett. Bramlett slipped a shot past the Catamount (9-3, 1-2 SoCon) defense at the 63:31 mark from 20 yards out off an assist from sophomore Traci Lynch.

Wofford (2-9, 1-2 SoCon) goalkeeper Bernie Sikes, who normally plays in the field, collected eight saves for her first win and shutout. Western Carolina's Alesha Row stopped three Terrier shots. The Terriers also added a team save when Sarah Goolsby cleared an attempt from inside the six-yard box with 15 minutes remaining in the opening half.

The Terriers were paced by three shots from Bramlett. In addition to Harris having three shots, Western's attack was paced by a four Catamounts with two shots each, including Meghan Reilly, Heather Dittmer, Leah Daino and Casey Davis. WCU also held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Western Carolina will play the third of its three-match road swing on Thursday (Oct. 6), facing Furman at 7:00 pm.
