With the loss...
- It is the fourth-straight loss to Wofford - and the 11th in the last 13 meetings - in the head-to-head series;
- The fourth-time under Head Coach Dennis Wagner the Catamounts were unable to win back-to-back games;
- Also halted Western Carolina's five-game drought against The Citadel;
Post-Game Notes:
- Western Carolina scored the most points in a quarter this season with 14 points against Wofford in the second quarter;
- Michael Johnson's one-yard run for a TD to start the second quarter was the first touchdown in the first half by the Catamounts this season. It was also Johnson's first rushing TD of his career;
- The pair of rushing touchdown's by Michael Johnson were the first of his career;
- The two rushing touchdowns each by Michael Johnson and Dion Wilson marked the first time this season the Catamounts have had two running backs score a pair of rushing touchdowns;
- Senior linebacker Adrain McLeod's 18 tackles against Wofford was a career-high. His previous career-high was 17 in the Catamount's 2008 season finale against Appalachian State;
- The 16-play drive that resulted in a touchdown in the third quarter was the longest of the season for WCU in terms of plays from scrimmage;
- Western Carolina had the ball for 12 minutes in the third quarter and scored two touchdowns, limiting Wofford to just six offensive plays in the frame.
