CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina women's tennis (1-3) fell 6-1 to visiting Charlotte (5-0) Friday at the Catamount Sports Complex.

Charlotte swept the doubles point and entered singles play with a 1-0 advantage. Western Carolina picked up a point at No. 3 singles when Ainhoa Iglesias defeated the 49ers Andrea Riveraers 6-4, 0-6, 11-9.

Western Carolina returns to action February 24 at Brevard. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
