With the loss ...
- Western Carolina has dropped five-straight in the head-to-head series with Wofford, including a seventh-straight defeat on the road to the Terriers;
- It denied WCU a third-straight road victory;
- WCU has dropped back-to-back games for just the second time this season;
- Was Western Carolina's 14th-straight loss to a nationally-ranked team, falling to 11-65-3 all-time against teams inside the national Top 25 ... it was also WCU's 32nd-straight road loss against a nationally-ranked FCS team;
- The Catamounts fall to an even 2-2 in games played on a natural surface this season.
Post-Game Notes:
- Western Carolina alternated quarterbacks Zac Brindise and Brandon Pechloff on each possession of the first half beginning with Brindise before Pechloff made his first appearance on the second offensive series ... the tandem of signal callers continued the alternation in the second half;
- Michael Johnson recorded his second touchdown of the season - and the sixth of his career - on a one-yard rush in the second quarter ... Of Johnson's six rushing scores, three have come against Wofford including two in 2009;
- Randy Pressley scored his first collegiate touchdown, intercepting a Wofford lateral on the option and returning the fumble 51 yards for the touchdown ... It was WCU's fourth defensive touchdown of the season and the third fumble return for a TD for the Catamounts;
- Wofford's Mitch Allen and Eric Breitenstein both rushed for over 100 yards against WCU on Saturday marking the first opposing tandem to eclipse the century mark on the ground since Zac Stacy (133 yds) and Warren Norman (105 yds) of Vanderbilt did it on Sept. 5, 2009;
