Atlanta, Ga. - Tuesday's baseball game between No. 4/5 Georgia Tech and Western Carolina has been postponed due to a mixture of rain and snow in the Atlanta area, as well as adverse travel conditions in Western North Carolina and northern Georgia.

It has not been determined whether the game will be rescheduled or not.

The Catamounts were slated to play the Yellow Jackets at 4:00 pm Tuesday, but the weather forecast calls for a mixture of rain and snow, half an inch of snow to be exact, with the temperatures in the 30's in Atlanta. Snow began falling at daybreak in the southwestern mountains of North Carolina with forecasts are for continue snow through the day and into the evening with temperatures remaining at or below the freezing mark.

Western Carolina (6-1), off to its best start in school history, is scheduled to travel on Thursday to the Keith LeClair Classic in Greenville, N.C., with play opening at 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon against West Virginia. WCU will also face Illinois (Sat., 11:00 am) and host East Carolina (Sun., 2:00 pm) in tournament play at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
