NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Western Carolina women's soccer (0-2-3) fell 1-0 to Lipscomb (3-2-1) in double overtime Friday at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.

The Bison's Brittany Rupple scored the golden goal in the 102:46 minute in double overtime. Rupple took a shot from 25 yards out on an assist by Baylee Linnell for the score.

This was Western Carolina's third straight double overtime game earning ties in the previous two contests. This is also the third time this season the Catamounts have been shut out.

Catamount goal keeper Carly Tinstman takes the loss and falls to 0-1-3. Lipscomb goalie Buhigas picks up the win.

Western Carolina continues its road swing through the state of Tennessee facing Tennessee Tech at 2 p.m. Sunday in Cookeville.
