Due to inclement weather and unfavorable playing conditions at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium, Western Carolina's home baseball game against Tennessee Tech scheduled for Wednesday night has been canceled.
No make-up date has been announced. The two are scheduled to play in Cookeville, Tenn., on Monday, May 11 with first pitch at 5:00 pm
Heavy rain overnight followed by persistent, steady showers this afternoon on a covered but already saturated field prompted officials to make the decision to cancel the game early in the afternoon hours.
Western Carolina (15-17, 7-5 SoCon) returns home to host the Furman Paladins (16-19, 5-7 SoCon) for a three-game Southern Conference series this weekend in Cullowhee beginning on Friday afternoon at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium.
