Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 to ECU in Double Overtime

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Western Carolina women's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision, in double overtime, to East Carolina Friday at James Stewart Soccer Stadium.

Shots were a premium for both teams for most of the match as the two teams combined for 19 shots, 12 for ECU and seven for WCU. However, it was the Pirates last shot, at the 107th minute, that mattered the most. Courtney Cash scored for ECU off an assist by Lana Splitler when Cash tapped loose a ball past WCU goalie Carly Tinstman.

ECU scored the golden goal at the 107th minute in double overtime.

Individual Leaders
- Courtney Cash scored her first goal of the season for ECU.
- WCU senior Kelly Pannell had two of the Catamounts' seven shots.
