Women's Soccer Shuts Down UT Martin 3-0

NASHVILLE, Tenn.. -- Western Carolina women's soccer tied its season-high scoring three goals in the 3-0 win over UT Martin Thursday in game one of the Lipscomb Tournament at the Lipscomb Soccer Stadium.

The Catamounts scored a pair of goals in the first half and a goal in the second to shut out UT Martin. Eleven minutes into the contest, sophomore Chandler Arrowood took a pass from freshman Sayres McKenna sailing it into the back of the net. The Catamounts would also get goals by freshman Hannah Sink and Kelly Pannell.

Junior Carly Tinstman had three saves in the match and earned her fourth win of the season.

 

Turning Point
Sophomore Chandler Arrowood's goal, at the 11 minute mark, set the tone for WCU spearheading a total of three goals in the match.

Individual Leaders
- Freshman McKenna notched her fourth assist of the season.
- Tinstman earned her fourth shutout of the season with a .56 goals against average.

Inside the Box Score
- Eleven minutes into the game sophomore Chandler Arrowood scored off an assist by McKenna.
- Freshman Sink tacked on the second goal of the game, with an assist by KaseyCooke, at the 28 minute mark.
- Senior Pannell scored her second goal of the season at the 76th minute of the second half, from an assist by Haven Leland, for the third and final goal of the season.
