NASHVILLE, Tennessee. -- Senior forward Markie-Lynn Studnicky scored the game-tying goal in Western Carolina women's soccer's 1-1 double overtime tie with Lipscomb Saturday at the Lipscomb Tournament.
Western Carolina found itself down early when the Bison scored at the 30th minute of the game giving the Bison a 1-0 lead.
Studnicky scored her first goal of the season off an assist by fellow senior Kelly Pannell to tie the game, 1-1, at the 51st minute of the second half.
The Catamounts had solid looks at the goal throughout the game including a quality shot by Pannell that was wide in the first overtime and a shot that was blocked by freshman Sayres McKenna.
Turning Point
Studnicky scored the game-tying goal in the 51st minute for Western Carolina that ended in a 1-1 double overtime tie.
Individual Leaders
- Pannell notched her second assist of the season and pushes her point total to six, tying her with freshman McKenna.
- Studnicky scored her first goal of the season.

- Lipscomb scored the first goal of the game when Maycie McKay took a pass from Paige Miller at 30:33.
-Studnicky tied it from a beauty of a pass from Pannell at 51:24.
