CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Western Carolina softball dropped the final game of the three-game Southern Conference series 6-0 Friday at Frost Stadium.

Turning Point

Chattanooga broke open a scoreless game with a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the third and scored in each ensuing inning they were at bat.

How it Happened

• With two outs Chattanooga plated two runs courtesy of a two-out two-run home run.
• The Mocs added two runs off a solo home run and an RBI in the bottom of the fourth.
• Chattanooga earned its fifth run of the game off an error by Western Carolina in the bottom of the fifth and scored the sixth run in the sixth.

Inside the Box Score

• Kinsey Liscio got the start for Western Carolina and tossed three innings. She gave up two runs on four hits and takes the loss falling to 9-8 on the season.
• Kayla Brewer relieved Liscio in the fourth inning. She threw three innings giving up four runs on three hits and struck out two.
• Madison Armstrong and Lindsay Perillo had hits in the game for Western Carolina as the team ended with two. Chattanooga had seven hits in the contest.
• Hunter Gibbons drew three walks in the game.

News & Notes

• Gibbons pushed her consecutive on-base streak to 10 straight which is three shy of tying her total of 13-straight from earlier this season. 
• For the second-straight game, the Catamounts were shut out and for the 10th time this season.
