Cullowhee, N.C. – The Western Carolina men's basketball team looks to sweep the season series against Chattanooga for the second time in three seasons Saturday as the Catamounts visit the Mocs at the McKenzie Arena at 2 p.m.
Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN3 (cable or satellite subscription required) with audio coverage available on the Catamount Sports Network.
Western Carolina is 13-7 overall and 5-4 in the Southern Conference on the heels of a 72-58 setback against UNCG on Wednesday at the Ramsey Center.
Carlos Dotson posted his fourth straight and 11
th double-double of the 2019-20 season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Dotson currently ranks tied for 12
th nationally in total double-doubles.
Chattanooga is 14-8 and 5-4 after a 92-84 victory at Samford on Wednesday. Matt Ryan tallied a team-best 28 points with Rod Johnson and Ramon Villa both adding 18 points.
The Catamounts and Mocs meet for the 95
th time on Saturday with Chattanooga holding a 66-28 advantage in the all-time series. WCU claimed the first meeting between the teams this season, 87-77, in Cullowhee on Dec. 3. Faulkner scored a career-best 31 points in a 58-point second half output for the Catamounts which erased a 10-point halftime deficit in the winning effort. WCU is just 5-37 all time in the Scenic City but has won in its last two visits to McKenzie Arena.
WCU remains on the road Wednesday, traveling to Samford for a 7:30 p.m. ET tip-off.
