CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina men's basketball plays its penultimate home game on Saturday night as the Catamounts host The Citadel in the second game of a hoops doubleheader with the women's team at 7:30 p.m.

Onno Steger will each be honored in a pregame ceremony. The quartet has played in a total of 324 games while scoring a combined 2,102 points during their WCU careers.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance online at catamountsports.com, by phone at 800-34-GOWCU or at the Catamount Ticket Office weekdays from 9 am- 5 pm to secure the best seats and avoid lines on game day. Fans will be able to purchase tickets at the Ramsey Center on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. ahead of the women's game which tips at 5 p.m.
WCU is 16-10 overall and 8-7 in the Southern Conference after a 74-71 defeat against VMI on Wednesday night at the Ramsey Center. Steger led four Catamounts in double figures with 18 points and freshman
Travion McCray finished with a career-high 14 points, but a late rally fell short in the closing seconds as the Keydets salvaged a split of the season series.
The Citadel is 6-20 overall and 0-15 in league games following a 91-68 home loss to Chattanooga on Wednesday. Brady Spence came off the bench to score a team-best 16 points as Rudy Fitzgibbons III and Kaiden Rice both finished in double figures with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Saturday's contest is the 79
th all-time meeting between the schools with WCU holding a 42-36 edge. The Catamounts have won five straight and 16 of the last 18 matchups following an 86-82 victory in Charleston on Jan. 4. In that contest, Dotson made the go-ahead layup with 46 seconds left and WCU made free throws down the stretch to secure the win. WCU is 23-15 in games in played in Cullowhee.
The contest will be streamed on ESPN3 (cable or satellite subscription required) with live audio coverage on the Catamount Sports Network.
WCU concludes the home portion of the 2019-20 season on Wednesday, hosting Samford at 7 p.m.
