Cullowhee, N.C. – Due to the threat of inclement weather later in the days both Tuesday and Wednesday, officials at Western Carolina have altered the Catamount baseball midweek schedule against first-time opponent, Bryant University.
WCU will now open the two-game set against the Bulldogs (2-11) at 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium with live audio and video through the Catamount Sports Network (audio) and Southern Conference Digital Network (video). Wednesday's second game is slated for a 2 pm first pitch. Coverage plans of game two are TBA.
Western Carolina (8-6) looks to build on the momentum gained from its 5-2 road win over USC Upstate last Friday in game two of a doubleheader. The Catamounts are 4-2 at home this season, but have dropped consecutive games including a 10-inning defeat to Georgia State and most recently, a 2-0 shutout loss to Appalachian State.
