CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina plays its fifth road game in its last six contests on Wednesday as the Catamounts head to VMI for a 7 p.m. matchup against the Keydets at Cameron Hall.

Western Carolina is 7-7 overall and 0-5 in the Southern Conference after a 91-78 loss at Wofford on Saturday.
Matt Halvorsen led four Catamounts in double figures with 19 points.
VMI is 8-8 overall and 3-4 in league games after an 83-80 setback at Mercer on Saturday. Two-time reigning SoCon Player of the Week Greg Parham led the Keydets with 26 points and has six straight games of 20-points or more. The Keydets are 8-1 at home this season and 0-7 on the road.
Wednesday's meeting is the 63
rd all-time meeting between the schools with WCU holding a 35-27 advantage. The teams split the two regular season contests last year with the visiting team claiming a win on the other's home court. WCU won 97-85 in Lexington while VMI took a 74-71 decision in Cullowhee. VMI has won four of the last five matchups with the Catamounts.
WCU's regularly scheduled game on Saturday (Jan. 30) at home against Samford was postponed due to positive COVID tests and quarantine requirements in Samford's program.
