CULLOWHEE, N.C – Western Carolina closes out the nonconference portion of the 2021-22 schedule this week as the Catamounts head to Georgia on Monday at 7 p.m. followed by a road contest at Charlotte on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
 
Monday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Wednesday's contest on CUSA.TV. The Catamount Sports Network will provide audio coverage for both games with the pregame show beginning 30 minutes prior to tip-off.
 
WCU is 6-5 after a 73-72 home setback to UNC Asheville on Dec. 11. Nicholas Robinson led three Catamounts in double figures with 15 points, but a late Catamount rally fell just short as UNC Asheville snapped a four-game losing streak in the series. Robinson leads the Catamounts - and ranks 10th in the conference - with a 14.7 point per game average.
 
Georgia is 4-6 after an 80-67 against George Mason on Saturday in Athens. Monday's game is the eighth all-time meeting between the schools with the Bulldogs having won all seven previous games. The teams last met to open the 2019-20 season, resulting in a 92-71 win for the Bulldogs.
 
Charlotte is 5-5 after an 82-79 setback against Wake Forest in the Hall of Fame Shootout on Friday at the Spectrum Center. The 49ers begin the week with a home matchup against Maryland Eastern Shore. Wednesday's game is the first between the teams since the 1985-86 season and just the third all-time with Charlotte winning both of the previous matchups.
 
WCU opens Southern Conference play on Dec. 29, welcoming reigning regular season and tournament champion UNCG to Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center for a 7 p.m. start.
