• Western Carolina and UNCG meet for the 76th time on Friday. In the previous meeting, earlier in the season, the Catamounts earned their first conference win with a 49-42 win in Greensboro on Jan. 10. The WCU victory halted a six-game losing streak to the Spartans. Western Carolina is 25-19 at home against UNCG. The last Catamount victory at home was on Feb. 25, 2017, with a 77-73 narrow victory. 
• Western Carolina snapped a six-game losing streak with the 62-48 win at ETSU Tuesday. The win also snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Buccaneers and was the Catamount's first win in Johnson City, Tenn. since 1998.
• The three conference wins are the most conference wins for the Catamounts since notching three in the 2016-17 season. The last time WCU won more than three conference games was 2013-14 when the Catamounts amassed seven. Western Carolina's six wins on the season are also the most since winning eight in the 2016-17 campaign. 
• Redshirt junior Kyla Allison leads the team scoring in double figures having scored in double figures 11 times this season. She currently leads the team 10.8 points per game and shooting 42.2 percent from the field. She notched the first double-double of her career with 12 points and 11 rebounds and just missed a triple-double with eight assists in the win at ETSU. Her 10.8 points per game rank 13th in the Southern Conference and has scored in double figures in three of the last four games. 

• UNCG is coming off a 58-50 win at Chattanooga. The Spartans have won four of their last five games. 
• CeCe Crudup leads the Spartans averaging 11.4 points per game and has scored in double figures 15 times this season. 
• The team is averaging 56.8 points per game and holding opponents to 49.5.
