The Catamounts are coming off back-to-back home wins over Lenoir-Rhyne. Western Carolina defeated the Bears 7-0 in the first meeting on Jan. 24 and 6-1 on Jan. 29, only giving up one point in the pair of meetings. Western Carolina's 2-0 start to the season is the best for the Catamounts since 1995 when the team defeated Charleston Southern, Southern Carolina State and UNC Asheville to begin the season 3-0.

Kata Foldeak is 2-0 at No. 1 singles, and 1-1 in doubles after moving up to No. 1 doubles in the second match against Lenoir-Rhyne.

Jacy Smith won her 20
th career match in singles in the first match against Lenoir-Rhyne – the 16
th player in program history to reach the 20-career win plateau. In career doubles, Smith has 21 career wins ranking her tied for ninth in the Catamount record books.

NOTES ON CLEMSON:
- Clemson dropped a 4-3 match to visiting Auburn on Sunday, Feb. 7. It was the first lost to the Tigers since 1999.
- Sophia Hatton earns her first career ranked win, as a Clemson Tiger, in singles defeating Auburn's 99th ranked Taylor Russo 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 at No. 5 singles.
- Clemson is 2-2 on the season.
