Turning Point
Huneycutt hit a walk-off RBI single as Western Carolina scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally from being down 4-3.

How it Happened
  • Radford scored the first run of the game courtesy of an RBI single in the top of the second.
  • The Highlanders went up 2-0 with a solo home run Paityn Moore.
  • Western Carolina took its first lead of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning scoring three runs to take a 3-2 lead.
  • Freshman Mya Horne got her first hit a Catamount when she led off the sixth inning with a single to the right side. Addie Pate followed with a single to left field moving Savannah Baldwin, who came back into the game replacing Horne, to second. A Radford error put Morgan Maddaluna on first, from a fielder's choice, and Baldwin scored on the miscue for the Catamounts' first run of the game.
  • With runners at the corners, Lindsay Perrilo hit an RBI single past the shortstop scoring Pate to cut the Radford tie the game 2-2.
  • Huneycutt's RBI single down the first base line plated Maddaluna and gave WCU its first lead of the game, 3-2.
  • Radford retook the lead in the top of the seventh with two runs off a two-RBI home run and lead 4-3.
  • It was down to the final three outs for WCU in the bottom of the seventh and the Catamount rally began when Jeralynn Wells singled past second base. A sacrifice bunt by Baldwin moved Wells into scoring position. Pate drew a walk putting runners at first and second. Lindsay Perillo's RBI single up the middle scored Wells to tie the game 4-4.
  • Huneycutt beat out a hit to second base, which froze the Radford defense thinking she was out, allowing pinch-runner Riley Lambert to score the walk-off game-winner.
