In consecutive years, Western Carolina's 2018 and 2019 Catamount Football Media Guides collected
"First in the Nation" honors in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) annual Publications and Digital Designs Contest for the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level awarded at the annual CoSIDA Convention, advancing from a runner-up finish at the FCS level in the 2017-18 design contest. The 2020 Catamount Football Media Guide received a Citation for Excellence in Publications from CoSIDA, awarded the
Best Cover Design in the NCAA FCS.
The guide is packed with information on the current student-athletes and coaches, as well as historical records for the WCU football program.
