CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina men's basketball concludes a three-game road swing, as well as the seasonal Southern Conference series against The Citadel on Wednesday as the Catamounts and Bulldogs square off at 7 p.m. inside McAllister Field House.
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ (

WCU is 8-12 overall and 2-5 in Southern Conference play following a 72-64 loss at Mercer on Saturday. Redshirt junior
Joe Petrakis led the Catamounts with a career-best 20 points. Graduate student
Nicholas Robinson posted his third double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Cam Bacote (14) and
Vonterius Woolbright (11) also finished in double figures.
The Citadel is 8-10 on the season and 2-5 in league games after earning a 75-73 win at ETSU on Saturday, their first road SoCon win since a 67-61 triumph at Mercer on Feb. 9, 2019. Hayden Brown led the Bulldogs with a game-high 28 points and Stephen Clark corralled a game-best 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs are 5-4 at home this season and 1-2 in SoCon home contests.
The Catamounts go for the season sweep of The Citadel after picking up a thrilling 94-90 overtime win in Cullowhee on Jan. 5 in a game that served as the conference opener for both teams. Robinson led five Catamounts in double figures with 19 points as WCU rallied from a five-point capped by two of his 19 points to ultimately force the extra session.
Marvin Price sank a pair of free throws in the closing seconds to ice the victory. Western Carolina leads the all-time series 45-38 and is 16-21 in games played in Charleston with wins in eight of the last nine trips to the McAlister Field House.

WCU returns to Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center on Saturday, welcoming Samford at 2 p.m. in the front end of a doubleheader with the Catamount women's team. Saturday's game will be broadcast regionally on select Nexstar affiliates as well as on ESPN+ (
