CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina returns to the hardwood just over 48 hours since their last game on Monday night, traveling to ETSU for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Bucs inside Freedom Hall Civic Center.
Monday's game, which was rescheduled from its original date of Jan. 1, will be streamed on ESPN+ (paid subscription required) with audio coverage on the Catamount Sports Network beginning at 6:30 p.m.
WCU is 7-8 overall and 1-1 in Southern Conference games after an 85-60 road loss at Samford on Saturday.
Nicholas Robinson led the Catamounts in scoring for the eighth time this season with 15 points and was joined in double figures by
Joe Petrakis with 11.
Vonterius Woolbright grabbed a team-best nine rebounds, seven of which came on the defensive glass.
ETSU is 9-7 thanks to a 68-57 home loss to Wofford on Saturday afternoon. David Sloan led the Bucs with 22 points and was joined in double figures by Ledarrius Brewer with 18.
Monday's game is the 88
th all-time meeting between the schools with ETSU leading the series 62-25. The Bucs have won the last 13 matchups against the Catamounts.
After Monday's game, WCU returns to Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center for their next two matchups, hosting preseason SoCon favorite Chattanooga on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a Blackout Game before welcoming Wofford on Saturday in a 2 p.m. matinee in the front end of a doubleheader with the WCU women's basketball team. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+ (paid subscription required) with Catamount Sports Network coverage beginning 30 minutes prior to tip-off.
