CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's soccer closes out the Southern Conference regular season on Sunday hosting ETSU at 2 p.m. at the Catamount Athletic Complex.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE CATAMOUNTS:
- Western Carolina is looking to halt a two-match losing streak dropping 1-0 losses at Chattanooga and Samford.
- The Catamounts are 2-2-2 at home this season.
- In conference-only games rookie, Isabella DeMarco leads the SoCon with four goals. Her 11 points in the conference-only match also lead the SoCon.
- Maggie Lloyd and Sophie Burchfield are just behind Isabella DeMarco for goals scored on the season with three each. Lloyd leads the Catamounts with five assists and tied with Isabella for total points with 11.
- Western Carolina's five shutouts this season is tied for the most in a season in program history.
- Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Eden Reece and freshman Leanne Trudel have been sharing duties in side the posts over the last few matches. Reece was in goal at Chattanooga last weekend and Trudel got the start at Samford. Reece has 14 saves on the season while Trudel has 32. Both have two wins in goal.
- Western Carolina and ETSU meet for the 20th time on Sunday. The Catamounts hold a slight edge over the Buccaneers with a record of 9-8-2. Western Carolina has won three of the last five contests but the Buccaneers took the match in 2021 defeating WCU 1-0 in Johnson City, Tenn. Western Carolina is 4-3-1 at home in the series.
AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE ETSU:
- ETSU earned a pair of ties at Samford and Chattanooga last weekend. The Bucs and Bulldogs played to a 1-1 tie and ETSU and Chattanooga ended scoreless 0-0.
- ETSU is 3-0-2 over the last five matches.
- The Buccaneers are 3-2-4 on the road this season. In conference road matches ETSU has won only one match with three ties.
- Emma Arnold leads ETSU with four goals adding one assist.
- Ashton Blair and Shu Ohba have shared time in goal for ETSU.
