AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE CATAMOUNTS:
  • Western Carolina plays its second road game in a stretch of five straight away from the Ramsey Center. WCU returns home on Dec. 1 hosting Queens in its annual Education Day game.
  • Western Carolina's 2-1 record, over the first three games, is the best start for a Catamount program since the 2015-16 season.
  • Presbyterian is the second of six Big South members the Catamounts will face this season. WCU defeated Winthrop 48-47 on Nov. 10 and will also tangle USC Upstate (Nov. 18), Charleston Southern (Nov. 23), UNCA (Nov. 28), and Campbell (Dec. 6).
  • Kehinde Obasuyi has scored in double figures in two of her first three games of the season. She had 10 vs. Bluefield State and 10 at LSU.
  • WCU has hit five or more three-pointers in all three games to start the year.
  • Presbyterian's game against the Catamounts is its second-straight match-up with a Southern Conference member. The Blue Hose lost to Furman 60-67 on Nov. 11. All told, Presbyterian will go up against three SoCon schools as they will travel to UNCG on Nov. 30.
  • Western Carolina and Presbyterian meet for the fifth time on Tuesday. The Catamounts hold a 3-1 advantage over the Blue Hose. Western Carolina won the 2021 meeting in Cullowhee 52-51 when Audrey Meyers hit the go-ahead basket with three seconds left. The Catamounts' lone loss to the Blue Hose was in 2014, a 51-44 setback in Cullowhee. WCU has played at Presbyterian just once in the four meetings when the Catamounts made a trip to Clinton, S.C. in 2013. Western Carolina won that meeting in 2013, 42-38.
 AN INSIDE LOOK AT PRESBYTERIAN:
  • Presbyterian's game with Western Carolina closes out a three-game home stand.
  • Both Western Carolina and the Blue Hose are looking to rebound after a loss.
  • Bryanna Brady leads the Big South with 10.5 rebounds and points per game and is the only player in the Big South averaging a double-double thus far this season.
  • Freshman Tilda Sjökvist is tied for second in the league with 12 assists just one off the league lead.
