Once again, this season, WCU Athletics will implement a clear bag policy for all home men's and women's basketball games in the Ramsey Center. Only standard clear bags, 12-inches by 6-inches by 12-inches in size, small purses approximately 4.5-inches by 5-inches not including the strap, and clear gallon-size storage bags are permitted. Diaper bags (
child must be present upon entry) and any medical-related bags will be allowed.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE CATAMOUNTS:
- Western Carolina is one win away from tying its win total of seven from the 2021-22 season.
- Graduate student Kyla Allison leads the Catamounts averaging 12.5 points per game. She has scored in double figures in the last three games and five of the last six contests. She scored a career-high 25 points against North Carolina Central on Dec. 19. She is averaging 17.6 points per game over the last three contests.
- Allison has scored 585 points, including her time at Middle Tennessee. 403 of the 585 have been scored at Western Carolina. She is currently averaging 11.2 points per game in her career with the Catamounts.
- Sophomore Shayane Poirot-Allard has scored in double figures in the last three games averaging 14.3 points per game.
- Junior Audrey Meyers has bested her seasonal scoring mark of 64 points, from the 2021-22 season, with 66 in the first 14 games. She is one field goal shy of tying the most field goals in a season with 22 on the year and has hit a seasonal-best 20 free throws. She has also swatted a career-best six blocks on the year. Her 4.9 rebounds per game are ranked 17th in the SoCon.
- Western Carolina and Southern Wesleyan meet for the second time on Friday. The Catamounts won the lone meeting, prior to Friday, 70-37 on Jan. 6, 2020.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT SOUTHERN WESLEYAN:
- Southern Wesleyan is on a three-game losing streak. The Warriors are currently 2-7 and have earned both wins in the month of December.
- The Catamounts and Warriors have one common opponent in Bluefield State. The Catamounts defeated Bluefield State 63-46 while Southern Wesleyan fell 71-39.
- Brittany Mack paces Southern Wesleyan averaging 13.1 points per game.
- Southern Wesleyan is giving up 73.8 points per game.
