JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Western Carolina women's tennis dropped its Southern Conference opener at ETSU Friday 7-0 at Bristol Sportsplex.
 
TURNING POINT:
The Buccaneers swept doubles to go up 1-0 and went on to sweep singles play.
 
 INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Luzia Obermeier and Jordyn King took their doubles match at No. 3 to a tiebreaker before falling 6-7 (4-7).
  •  Obermeier also played and extended first set at No. 3 singles before losing 7-5, 6-2.
 
 
UPCOMING:
Western Carolina will have a few days off before returning home on Feb. 27 hosting Appalachian State at 2 p.m.
