CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina women's basketball concludes the 2021-22 season Saturday at UNCG in the final Southern Conference regular season game on the year. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at Fleming Gymnasium in Greensboro, N.C.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE CATAMOUNTS:

• Western Carolina and UNCG meet for the 79th time on Saturday. The Catamounts hold a slight 41-37 edge all time against the Spartans.
• Western Carolina won its seventh game on the season, against Emory & Henry Feb. 22, marking the most wins by a Catamount team since the 2016-17 campaign. 
• Freshman Bailey Trumm has hit a team-leading 27 three-pointers this season.
• Tembre Moates has 538 career rebounds and is tied for 21st in the WCU record books. She needs 12 rebounds to move into 20th place.
• Western Carolina leads the SoCon in steals with 208 on the year.
• . Western Carolina is giving up 59.0 points per game this season which is the second-fewest points allowed, based on stats available, in program history. The mark ranks third in the SoCon

 
  AN INSIDE LOOK AT UNCG:
 

• UNCG hosts its final home game of the season on Saturday and will honor its seniors prior to the game.
• The Spartans are 5-7 at home this season.
• UNCG is 2-3 in the last five games and lost its last game 57-45 to Wofford.
• Isys Grady leads the Spartans averaging 10.2 points per game.
