CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Western Carolina women's tennis fell 7-0 on the road at Chattanooga in Southern Conference action Sunday at the UTC Tennis Complex.
TURNING POINT:
Chattanooga swept the doubles to go out 1-0 and went on to win all six singles contests.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Catamounts took three different matches to the wire in the first set.
- Catamount sophomore Kata Foldeak dropped the first set 7-6 before falling 6-3 in the second at No. 1 singles.
- Hoda Habib dropped a close first set at No. 5 singles, 7-6, before falling in the second 6-1.
- Angela Perez took her match at No. 6 singles to a 7-5 loss in the first set before falling 6-1 in the second.
NOTES:
- With nine-team wins, Western Carolina is chasing the program record, for victories in a season. The 2016 club amassed the best record in Catamount women's tennis history with 13.
