Catamounts Set to Face UNCG and N.C. Central

On a two-match road trip

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis hits the road for a pair of matches facing UNCG in Southern Conference action Saturday at 2 p.m. and then gong up against N.C. Central, in nonconference action, at noon.
 
NEWS & NOTES:
  • The Catamounts hit the court again, for the first time in 11 days, defeating Appalachian State 5-1 Wednesday.
  • Western Carolina has won five of its last six matches.
  • The Catamounts will be searching for their first SoCon win against UNCG.
  • UNCG is opening their portion of conference play against the Catamounts.
  • Western Carolina and UNCG meet for the 29th time.
  • The Spartans' lone victory this season was against North Carolina Central.
  • Ironically, Western Carolina's next match, after UNCG, is against N.C. Central, the team the Spartans have their only win of the season against.
  • The N.C. Central Eagles are searching for their first win and will host Hampton on Friday, Mar. 4 before the Catamounts on Sunday, Mar. 6.
  • Sophomore Kata Foldeak leads the Catamounts in singles wins with five. She also paces the team in doubles wins with six.
