Western Carolina scored five runs in the top of the sixth and took its first lead, 5-2, but Furman scored six runs in the bottom of the inning to reclaim the lead.

How it Happened
  • Furman got on the board in the second inning scoring off a pair of Western Carolina errors.

  • Western Carolina had a beauty of a scoring chance in the top of the fifth with bases loaded and one out but hit into a double play to end the threat.

  • Back-to-back home runs by Savannah Rice and Bailey Treadway accounted for three runs.
  • Furman answered back with six runs in the bottom of the sixth.

 Inside the Box Score
