Men’s Basketball Adds Colin Granger for 2022-23 Season

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina men's basketball head coach Justin Gray today announced the addition of Colin Granger for the 2022-23 season. Granger, a 6-9 forward, arrives at WCU after spending the last two seasons at Ohio University.

"Colin is definitely not running away from contact," said Gray. "I love the relentless effort and physicality he brings to our team. More importantly, he's a great young man that values an education. I'm so excited to be adding Colin to our Catamount Family."

As a member of the Bobcats, Granger saw action in 24 games spanning the last two seasons making one appearance in the starting lineup. He tallied a career-best six points against Cleveland State and grabbed a career-high four rebounds against Ball State. In his first career start against Akron, Granger scored four points and snagged one rebound in 12 minutes.

A Suwanee, Ga. native, Granger had a decorated career at Lambert High School. He was a two-time all-region player, as well as a two-time Forsyth County News All-County selection. Granger was a member of the 2018-19 Forsyth County Tip-off Club Top-10 player list and was an Atlanta Tip-off Club Top-10 preseason all-state player.  Granger was rated a Top 30 player in the state of Georgia and a top-three center in the state.
