Women's Basketball Announces Southern Conference Schedule

Nonconference schedule will release later in the week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its 2022-23 women's basketball league schedule Monday morning. The SoCon's eight women's basketball teams will all play double-round-robin, 14-game intra league schedules, totaling 56 league contests. Conference play begins on Thursday, Jan. 5, with all eight teams in action.
 
In total, 28 conference games take place in January and 28 contests in February. All conference matchups are set for Thursday and Saturday. The regular season concludes with four conference showdowns on Saturday, Feb. 25.
 
The Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championship will be held March 2-5 at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina.
 
Western Carolina will host a pair of doubleheaders with Catamount men's basketball. On Feb. 4 women's basketball tangles with Samford while men's basketball goes up against Chattanooga. The pair of teams will share the home regular-season finale on Feb. 25 with the women welcoming in ETSU and the men facing VMI.

The Catamounts nonconference schedule will be released later in the week.
 
Full broadcast schedules will be announced later, but all eight schools' home games will air on ESPN+ if not selected for national or regional broadcast.
 
The 40th season of Southern Conference women's basketball opens Monday, Nov.7.
