  • Western Carolina scored a season-high three goals in the 3-1 win at UNC Asheville on Sept. 1.

  • Junior Maggie Lloyd's goal against UNCA was her first goal since March 29, 2021 (when the Catamounts played a spring season) against Wofford.
  • Sophomore Sophie Burchfield scored the first goal of her Catamount career against UNCA – the third goal of the match against the Bulldogs.
  • Rookie goalkeeper Leanne Trudel notched her first win in goal as a Catamount against UNCA.
  • The Catamounts' match against UNCA was the first of three straight against Big South opponents. Western Carolina faces Longwood Thursday and Radford Saturday.
  • Western Carolina is 2-0-2 against Longwood in the four meetings. The Catamounts' two wins have come at home while the pair of ties occurred in Cullowhee (Sept. 5, 2021; 0-0) and at Longwood (Aug. 29, 2014; 1-1, 2 OT).
  • Western Carolina has two shutouts on the season – both ending in a 0-0 tie.
  • The Catamounts and Radford meet for only the second time in the two program's history. In the lone meeting on Sept. 19, 2019, Western Carolina defeated the Highlanders 1-0 in Cullowhee.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT OPPONENTS:
  • Longwood enters the match with Western Carolina on a two-match losing streak falling to College of Charleston (2-0) and Old Dominion (1-0). The Lancers are 3-3 overall and 3-1 at home.
  • Longwood's Savannah Nole and Catherine Forst each lead the Lancers with two goals apiece.
  • The Lancers have scored six goals and given up six goals.
  • Radford will not play a mid-week game as the Catamounts are the Highlanders' lone opponent for the week.
  • The Catamounts will be the third Southern Conference opponent Radford has faced this season. The Highlanders opened the season with a 1-0 exhibition win over VMI and defeated Wofford 3-0 in the regular season on Aug. 28.
  • Radford is 3-0-1 over the last four matches.
