CULLOWEE, N.C. – After wrapping up a four-match homestand with a 2-0 victory over Chattanooga on Thursday night, the Western Carolina women's soccer team heads to Mercer on Sunday to face the Bears at 2 p.m. inside Betts Stadium.

Naya Marcil score her eighth goal of the season and assist on
Isabella DeMarco's team-best ninth goal of the year.
Leanne Trudel and the Catamount back line stood tall for the team's third straight shutout and seventh of the season as Trudel tied a career high with nine saves. The win over the Mocs capped a four-match homestand that saw the Catamounts earn wins over UNCG, Wofford, and Chattanooga, along with a loss to Furman.
Mercer (8-2-5, 3-1-1) claimed a 2-0 road win against VMI on Thursday, scoring goals in both halves. Larkin Thomason netted her 10
th goal of the season in the first half to put her in a tie for the league lead with teammate Jada Moorman. The Bears have league wins over VMI, ETSU, and Wofford, along with a loss to Chattanooga and a tie against UNCG.
The Catamounts remain on the road Thursday, heading to The Citadel for a 3 p.m. match.
