Catamount Tennis Travels to UNCA Sunday

Coming off an 11 day break

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis takes a short trip to Asheville, N.C., on Sunday to go up against mountain-rival UNC Asheville at 3 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.

Western Carolina returns to action coming off an 11-day break.
The Catamounts last competed Feb. 1 in a doubleheader at No. 22 Tennessee, falling 5-2 and 4-0.
The Catamounts two singles wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles against Tennessee were the most singles wins against a Power Five opponent in program history.
Chloe Schwarz, Madison Schwarz, Angela Perez, Isabella Sambola and Jade Groen each have two singles wins throughout the first four matches on the season.
Western Carolina and UNC Asheville meet for the 45^th time on Sunday. The Bulldogs hold a 25-18 advantage in the series. UNCA won the 2022 meeting in Cullowhee, defeating the Catamounts 4-3.
The Catamounts took the last contest in Asheville taking the match 5-2.
UNCA holds a slight advantage in the last 10 matches with a record of 6-4.
The Bulldogs will go up against the fourth team from the Southern Conference when UNCA welcomes Western Carolina. UNCA is 2-1 against SoCon schools this season with wins over UNCG (5-2) and Wofford (6-1) and falling to Chattanooga (3-4).
UNCA hosts UNC Wilmington on Saturday before welcoming Western Carolina on Sunday.
