Cullowhee, N.C. – Due to unfavorable weather forecasts on Saturday (March 25) morning, the Catamount football team has moved its planned fully-padded practice to
Friday (March 24) evening beginning at 5 p.m., head coach
Kerwin Bell announced today. The squad is anticipated to have its first extended scrimmage sessions as a part of the workout now slated to finish under the lights at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field.
Western Carolina began its NCAA-regulated 15 spring practices back on March 14 with Friday's workout to represent the
unofficial midway point in practice session No. 7 this spring. WCU's annual Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 15 with a Noon start time.
All dates and practice times are subject to change.
Unless otherwise noted, each WCU spring football practice is open to the public. It is respectfully requested that spectators observe from the stadium seating area and avoid being either on the field or the sidelines.
Season tickets for the 2023 Catamount football season are on sale now through the WCU Athletics Ticket Office in the Ramsey Center, by phone at (828) 227-2401, and
online at CatamountSports.com. WCU is coming off a record year for football season ticket sales in tickets sold and revenue generated and looks to carry that momentum into 2023.
