Women’s Tennis Heads to Orlando for Spring Break Tournament

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Taking advantage of Spring Break on campus, Western Carolina women's tennis heads to Orlando where the Catamounts will play four matches in four days. WCU opens the week on Tuesday (March 7) against East Carolina (5-5) at Noon and will face Seton Hall (3-6) Wednesday at 6 p.m., UNCW (6-2) on Thursday at 11 a.m., and Loyola – Maryland (3-4) on Friday at 7:30 a.m.
 
News and Notes
  • WCU heads to the Sunshine State with an 8-4 overall record following a 5-2 home victory over Presbyterian College on Saturday.
  • In Saturday's win, the Catamounts grabbed the doubles point and won singles matches at the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 courts to secure the win.
  • The Catamounts and ECU meet for the first time since 2013 with the Pirates winning both previous meetings. WCU and UNCW last met in 2019 with the Catamounts earning a 5-2 victory in Orlando. The Catamounts face both Seton Hall and Loyola for the first time.
