CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis begins a regular season-ending three-match Southern Conference homestand on Tuesday as the Catamounts welcome mountain rival ETSU to the Catamount Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. contest.
The match will be streamed on ESPN+ (
paid subscription required) with free live stats available on CatamountSports.com. It's just the second home WCU women's tennis match to be streamed in program history.
WCU is 13-7 overall and 1-3 in SoCon matches after a 5-2 setback at Wofford on Sunday. The Catamounts took the doubles point and
Chloe Schwarz earned her second victory of the day with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
ETSU is 15-6 overall and 5-0 in league matches after a 6-1 victory over Chattanooga last Saturday, indoors at the Bristol Sportsplex. The Bucs are currently tied for first place with Furman and will close out the season against the Paladins (9-11, 5-0 SoCon) on Saturday, April 15. ETSU's singles lineup boasts four players with double-digit victories on the season.
The Catamounts close out the season with a pair of home matches this weekend, hosting Chattanooga at 11 a.m. on Friday and Samford at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Catamount Athletics Complex.
