‘Whee Love Canton Day’ at Catamount Baseball on May 13

Special free ticket vouchers available at Canton Ingles and Champion Credit Union

Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina Athletics, your neighborhood Ingles, and Champion Credit Union have partnered to present "Whee Love Canton Day" at Catamount baseball on Saturday, May 13, as WCU hosts Southern Conference rival The Citadel in a 2 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium.
 
Free ticket vouchers granting admission to the WCU home baseball game are available at the Ingles stores in both Canton (630 Champion Drive) and Waynesville (201 Barber Boulevard and 1670 Brown Avenue), as well as at the Champion Credit Union branch in Canton (3 Academy Street) beginning Friday, April 28. All fans will be able to enjoy the pregame "Fan Fest" beginning at 12:30 p.m. behind the first-base dugout. The Fan Fest will include music by TLQ+2, presented by Ingles, along with contests, games, and fun leading up to the first pitch at 2 p.m.
 
Between innings during the game, fans will be entertained by the Dare Devil Dogs, a thrilling stunt show where dogs of all kinds snag flying discs.
 
"We want to celebrate you, Canton, and all you do for the western North Carolina community," stated Melissa Leavell, Director of Advertising for Ingles Markets. 
 
Game day parking in the North Baseball garage and the South Baseball lot beyond the outfield fence is FREE. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and anticipate traffic in the Cullowhee area as May 13 is also WCU's spring graduation commencement. Additional parking is available in Camp Lab Lots 4A and 4B. Lot 73 located behind the Catamount Travel Center, off of Little Savannah Road, is also available and will provide shuttle service to the Ramsey Center which is within close proximity of Hennon Stadium.
