Women’s Tennis Heads to North Greenville for Tuesday Match

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Western Carolina women's tennis ventures out of Southern Conference play on Tuesday as the Catamounts head to Tigerville, S.C., to battle North Greenville at 3 p.m. This is the first meeting between the two teams in a late addition to the 2022-23 WCU schedule.

Idle since a 4-3 home victory against in-state Southern Conference foe UNCG on March 24, the Catamounts enter Monday's match with a 12-6 overall record that includes an 11-4 mark in nonconference matches. Jade Groen and Angela Perez are both tied for second in the league with 11 singles match victories. Groen and Andrea Redondo have teamed up for a team-best 11 doubles match wins.

North Greenville is 3-10 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas matches after a 6-1 road setback at Belmont Abbey on Friday.

The Catamounts remain on the road in the Upstate of South Carolina on Friday, venturing to league-foe Wofford for a 1 p.m. first serve.
