CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Western Carolina women's soccer team faces a stiff test on Sunday night when the Catamounts travel to Clemson's Historic Riggs Field for a 6 p.m. contest against the 11th-ranked Tigers.

WCU is 2-1-2 following a tough 2-2 tie against Georgia State on Thursday night at the Catamount Athletics Complex.
Naya Marcil and
Isabella DeMarco both scored goals for the Catamounts as all four goals in the match were recorded in the final 23 minutes of regulation.
Clemson tallied four first half goals in a 4-1 defeat of Southern Conference foe Furman on Thursday night. The Tigers are 4-0-1 with wins over Gardner-Webb, Utah, Utah Valley, and against the Paladins, adding a scoreless draw against archrival South Carolina.
Sunday's match is the third between the schools with the Tigers claiming each of the three including a 6-0 win in Cullowhee last season.
Following Sunday's tilt, the Catamounts open a two-match homestand on Thursday against a pair of in-state rivals, facing Appalachian State on Thursday at 7 p.m. and hosting East Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+ (
