Jada Burton sits third in the conference with 71 assists, ranking third in the SoCon with 3.7 assists per game. Burton also ranks eighth in the league with 26 steals to her stat line.

Lonasia Brewer is tied for ninth in the conference with 41 offensive rebounds with her 11 offensive boards putting her in a three-way tie for second in conference action. Brewer and Jada Burton enter the week tied for seventh in league play with nine assists each. Wooten ranks 11th in league play, averaging 10.8 points per game. As a team, WCU is third in the league during SoCon play with 43 assists, and the Catamounts rank second in team defensive rebounds with 87 boards.

ETSU comes into Thursday's tilt with a 13-5 record, suffering a 52-50 defeat in Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon. The Bucs have claimed wins in nine of their last 11 games. ETSU holds a 3-4 record on the road in the 2023-24 season while recording a 9-1 mark in home action.

Nevaeh Brown leads the Bucs – and ranks fifth in the SoCon – with a 13.1 points per game average as she's tallied 12 double-figure scoring outputs this season. The Bucs were able to claim one of the eight spots in the postseason Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) as they claimed wins over FIU and Georgia Southern to finish third in the Invitational.

ETSU was picked to win the league by the conference's coaches as four coaches picked them to win the league as they were tabbed second in the media poll with five votes to win the conference under the leadership of Brenda Mock Brown, who's in her second season at the helm for ETSU as she claimed the SoCon Coach of the Year last season.

ETSU leads the all-time series over Western Carolina with a 57-23 record in the matchups between the two schools. The Bucs have claimed the last four meetings from the Catamounts which includes a thrilling 90-84 double overtime decision last February in Cullowhee.
