Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina Athletics today announced a partnership with D1.relocation.
Drawing on years of professional relocation experience from both administrative and coaching perspectives, D1.relocation was created to simplify the transition for coaches, administrators, and their families in a smooth, fully confidential manner.
"We're excited to work with the Catamounts," said Daniel Feig, former Athletics Director at USC Upstate and D1.relocation's Chief Operating Officer. "WCU is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and it's easy to see why so many coaches and administrators are eager to move there. That natural beauty, combined with a leadership team that is working really hard to give their employees a great experience, is a recipe for success and we're honored to be a part of the process."
WCU is the first Southern Conference member to partner with D1.relocation as part of a growing list of NCAA Division I athletic departments that are teaming with the only relocation service that solely focuses on collegiate athletics. Catamount Athletics will rely on D1.relocation to coordinate the administrative and coaching relocation needs for incoming employees moving to Cullowhee.
D1.relocation assigns a single point of contact for each client to work hand-in-hand on all aspects of the transition. The D1.relocation team is in constant communication to address all details, requirements and concerns of a move. From moving companies, real estate needs, amenities services, as well as professional and personal services in the new community, D1.relocation handles all the research and vetting to help make relocations in college athletics smooth and efficient.
Some of the other partners with D1.relocation include Ball State, Clemson, Charlotte, Grand Canyon, Lamar, South Carolina, Stephen F. Austin, Troy, Tulane, and Western Kentucky.
"D1.relocation has already proven very useful in assisting new staff in transitioning to the mountains of Western Carolina. Their knowledge and service help take some of the stress out of moving to a new area while also preparing to start a new position," said WCU Deputy Athletics Director Kyle Pifer. "Western Carolina University is looking forward to a lasting partnership with D1.relocation."
