Cullowhee, N.C. – Heavy rain throughout the morning and unfavorable weather forecasts across western North Carolina carrying into the evening have prompted officials at Western Carolina to postpone Friday's scheduled nonconference baseball series opener against Harvard.
The two teams will now open the three-game set with a Saturday doubleheader beginning at Noon at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium with the second game slated for approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The series concludes on Sunday morning with an updated 11 a.m. start to accommodate Harvard's return travel schedule.

Western Carolina (6-9) plays seven of its next eight games at home including this weekend's three-game set with Harvard and next weekend's Southern Conference opening series against mountain-rival ETSU (March 22-24). WCU visits UNC Asheville next Tues., March 19, and hosts Gardner-Webb to conclude the stretch on March 26.
