Cullowhee, N.C. – Tuesday's nonconference baseball game between Western Carolina and Gardner-Web scheduled for Childress Field / Hennon Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather and unfavorable evening forecasts.
Today's game has been rescheduled to be played in Cullowhee on Tues., May 7 (TBD). The two teams are slated to meet next Tuesday (April 2) in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Fans who purchased tickets for today's home game can exchange their tickets for any other WCU home game this season including the rescheduled May 7 game against Gardner-Webb. For additional ticketing questions, please contact the Catamount Athletics ticket office at (828) 227-2401.
The Catamounts (11-11, 1-2 SoCon) now open an eight-game stretch away from home beginning with a three-game Southern Conference series at The Citadel (14-8, 0-3 SoCon) scheduled for Riley Park in Charleston, S.C. this week. The series opens on Thursday at 6 p.m., with Friday's game pushed back to a 5 p.m. start before concluding Saturday with the first pitch at 1 p.m. The weekend games are scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+ (
