Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina baseball's regular-season home finale against Presbyterian scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, has been moved to an earlier start time with
the first pitch now slated for Noon at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium, officials announced on Monday.
Unfavorable weather forecasts later in the day on Tuesday prompted advancing WCU's final home game from its originally scheduled 5 p.m. start to the midday timeslot. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ (

Western Carolina (26-23) is coming off a three-game Southern Conference series sweep over the Mercer Bears over the weekend, capping the three wins with a dramatic walk-off solo home run by
Mason Holton in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Catamounts host the Blue Hose in the backend of a nonconference home-and-home. WCU claimed the first meeting between the two 9-5 back on April 9 in Clinton, S.C.
Following Tuesday's home finale, WCU wraps up the conference season slate with a three-game road trip to Lexington, Va., to face the VMI Keydets (25-26, 6-12 SoCon) at Gray-Minor Stadium in a series that opens on Thursday (May 16) at 6 p.m. Each game is slated to be
