Kerwin Bell returns for the 2024 season beginning Monday, Aug. 26.
Running for 14 consecutive weeks through late November, this year's shows will originate live on location at
Rodgers Bros (
2968 Old Cullowhee Rd.) restaurant in Cullowhee and can be viewed on the official Catamount Athletics Facebook page (
fb.com/catamountsports). Each show except for broadcasts on Aug. 26, Sept. 2, and Sept. 30 are slated for 6 p.m. start times with the three others airing at 7 p.m. based on WCU football's practice schedule. Catamount fans are invited out to Rodgers Bros each week.
Every week's show includes Bell's thoughts on both the previous and upcoming week's game including game highlights and analysis. Viewers are invited to submit questions or comments through the Facebook chat feed on the video portal and every show is auto archived on WCU's Facebook page.
Owned by restaurateur and Catamount football alumni Jim Rodgers (1992-95),
Rodgers Bros is a fast-casual, sports-themed family restaurant in Cullowhee. Advertised as "Burgers. Brews. Sports," Rodgers Bros serves All-American fare and has added local Jackson County favorite Speedy's Pizza to its options. Rogers Bros also promises games on every television throughout the dining areas and bar.
Ranked 19th in the AFCA Coaches Poll and
20th in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25, WCU opens the 2024 season in a pre-Labor Day meeting in the state capital against No. 24/22 NC State. Kickoff on Thursday, Aug. 29, is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Carter-Finley Stadium and will be broadcast on the ACC Network with Wes Durham, Tom Luginbill, and Dana Boyle on the call.
WCU's season-opener will also be broadcast on the Catamount Sports Network with the Pepsi Pregame Show airing at 6 p.m. Fans across Western North Carolina can hear the broadcast locally on five CSN affiliate frequencies: in Sylva, 105.7 FM and 540 AM WRGC "The River" (wrgc.com); 104.9 FM and 1050 AM WFSC in Franklin (1050wfsc.com); Rewind 100.3 FM "Carolina's Greatest Hits" in Asheville (rewindasheville.com); and free through
live streaming audio online at CatamountSports.com.
Both season and single-game tickets for the five home dates in #CatamountCountry remain on sale now through the WCU Athletics Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the Ramsey Center, or by phone at (828) 227-2401. Fans can also purchase tickets and game day parking in advance online at CatamountSports.com/BuyTickets. Game day parking is $15 in advance and $20 on game days.
